Imam of the Grand Mosque in Pristina, Shefqet Krasniqi, was arrested again in the early hours of this morning by the Kosovo Police. Krasniqi was arrested after allegedly be inspiring Islamic extremism.
Imam was initially arrested on September 4 after the suspected crime of "inciting hatred, discord or intolerance national, racial, religious or ethnic", under Article 147 of the CCK. But he was released within a day, after questioning by police.
Meanwhile today, Kosovar media suggest is to arrest the Imam along with another person who is also learned that the leader of lisbet, Ramiqi.
The motives of the arrest by the police, are inciting interfaith and Islamic extremism. Ramiqi charged after his party which has religious basis, is alleged to have manipulated and encourage young people to fight in Kosovo Syria and Iraq.
Kosovo is on the verge of passing a law which condemns to 15 years imprisonment participation in foreign wars, terrorist connotations. The phenomenon of Islamic extremism is widespread in Kosovo recently. Just a few weeks ago, Kosovo police arrested more than 40 suspected terrorists accused of the attempted merger with Islamic terrorist groups such as Al Nusrat ISIS, Syria and Iraq.
