After 900 years, the Bayeux Tapestry returns to England and goes on display in London

The scene depicting King Harold

The nearly 230-foot long Bayeux Tapestry is back in England for the first time in 900 years. It depicts the 1066 Battle of Hastings, a turning point in English history that ended Anglo-Saxon rule.
