An Ex-Senior Afghan Official Is Hiding From The Taliban, And Growing Angry At America

Taliban fighters stand guard in front of the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, Monday. Thousands of people packed into the airport, rushing the tarmac and pushing onto planes in desperate attempts to flee the country after the Taliban took over.

"I am not safe," a former high-ranking Afghan official texts from a hidden location, saying the Taliban have sent killers after them.
