Torrential Rain And Flooding Are Wreaking Havoc Across Western Germany

An aerial view taken on July 14, 2021 shows the flooded center of the city of Hagen, western Germany, after heavy rain hit parts of the country, causing widespread flooding.

In the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, authorities say at least 11 people have died and 70 people are missing. A state of emergency has been declared and the army has been deployed.
