An Officer Admits To Rape And Kidnapping Of Sarah Everard In A Case That Drew Outrage

Posters requesting information are seen near Clapham Common in March during an investigation into the disappearance of Sarah Everard, whose body was later found in a wooded area of Kent. Wayne Couzens, a Metropolitan police officer, has admitted to kidnapping and raping Everard.

Police constable Wayne Couzens, 48, also took responsibility for Everard's death, but did not enter a formal plea on the charge that he murdered the 33-year-old marketing executive.
